Congratulations to incumbents Ken & Toni on their election win. And thanks to those who supported my late candidacy with their vote. Maybe next time.

The Board was a bit inaccurate, though, when they said

[Rick] currently monitors an unofficial Riverbend web site.

To monitor implies a passive role, while arranging hosting, editing as well as creating content, smoothing technical issues, updating software, and all the other stuff that goes into running a site is absolutely NOT passive. As far as unofficial goes, well, there is no official site. Perhaps the Board would like to consider hosting one? The seldom-updated EPM site seems to provide that option for the communities that they manage. Somehow I doubt that EPM would allow Residents to contribute their own content, as is permitted here. [hint, hint]

Oh well, the only bad publicity is no publicity, as the saying goes.

Happy New Year. And stay warm. As I write, my thermometer registers a chilly five degrees (F). Brrr.
