Plows for Yesterday’s Snow (Non-)Event?
Yes. Plow-equipped pickups and Bobcats. “They called us. [shrug] We’re here.”
I’m thinking we’ve, um, plowed through fifty large and another assessment’s on the way.
What do you think?
Recycling Schedule for 2011
Yay! Property tax bills have arrived!
Only kidding. Taxes suck. Especially when they rise. Which they did. I didn’t expect anything less but that doesn’t make it suck any less.
But the township included this year’s recycling schedule. I compared the published dates to the site calendar and found no discrepancies. Check here when you’re in doubt.
Happy new year!
Telephone Message From the Mayor
Administrator’s note: The following message was received via Verizon POTS (plain old telephone service). I’m reproducing Mayor Womack’s message here as a public service, knowing that not everyone obtains their primary telephone service from the places the township is likely to have used when reaching out to us.
This is township mayor Mac Womack.
This call is going to individuals who live on snow emergency streets in North Brunswick. Our Director of Police and our Director of Public Works have asked me to remind everyone that during a snowstorm cars must be removed from snow emergency streets. We respectfully ask your cooperation.
Thank you.

You are receiving this phone message as the town initiates its use of the new Emergency Notification System, sometimes called a Reverse 911. We intend to use this technology to communicate emergency information whenever weather events or other emergencies occur in the township. I encourage you to go to the township’s Web site at www.northbrunswickonline.com to add your cell phone or email address if you would like the township to use those methods to notify you in the event of an emergency within the township.
A snowstorm is predicted for North Brunswick Township starting Friday morning January 7th. Accumulations are expected to be less than five inches. Residents are requested to move parked cars from all streets to assist our road crews in clearing and salting our roadways. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
If you have any questions about the new Reverse 911 Emergency Notification System please feel free to call the township: (732) 247-0922 and ask for extension 699 to leave your question. We will get back to you.
Thank you very much.
